Unpaid cheques

I hope someone can help me.  My turkish husband has written a cheque for 14000ytl and can not pay it.  Can anyone tell me of the consequences of this.  Does he get sent to prison for 6 months?

According to new Turkish criminal codes about the checks, no prison for 6 months for the first check penalty. But he must pay the check amount to the goverment as execution of a sentence. (And he must pay the checks' sum to the payee)
