Thank you for answering my query. I would be grateful if you could tell me:-

The person that owes the money lives in England, would his debt be attached to his property as a lein? Can his property then be auctioned to recover the money? Or can a claim be made in the English courts?

What happens if a person who owns an apartment in an apartment block does not pay their share of the maintenance costs?
The block is managed by some of the owners who have formed a management comittee, does this committee need to be registered somewhere? (All owners have paid with the exception of one.)

TURKISH PROPERTY LAW / Recent changes to TAPU
May 20, 2009, 10:44:49 PM
There is a lot of publicity and confussion about having the left hand  box ticked on the TAPU or face a 1000ytl fine each year.

The left hand box : KAT MULKIYETI, to own the whole floor.
The middle box : KAT IRTIFAKI, to share the floor with other apartments.

1) Which box should be ticked for someone with a sitesi duplex semi-detached house?

Also

An apartment complex consisting of several apartment blocks next to each other,  sharing the same pool and same apartment block name. Which box should be ticked when :

a) All apartments on one floor throughout the whole complex are owned by the same person?

b) Only some of the apartments are owned on the same  floor by the same person throughout the complex?
