TURKISH FAMILY LAW / Re: Divorce and Separation
Last post by tepal - October 31, 2011, 04:46:34 PM
Dear Tukay,
I am a Bulgarian citizen , a woman, married for a Turkish citizen. We have been married since January 24th,2007.We married in Turkey, but of course our marriage was immediately legalized in Bulgaria too.
My husband has Bulgarian id card-a temporary residence permit on the grounds he has been married to a Bulgarian citizen. It expires in the middle of January,2012.It is his fourth permit.
I also have a residence permit,my first,which expires on November 22th,2011.
Anyway,my husband wants to divorce with me.The reason, according to him,is that I have started job on Sep.1st here in Bulgaria.I started this job as it was impossible for me to work in Turkey.I am an English teacher, and I have to pass a special exam there KPSS, as far as I remember. So i asked him whether to start searching for job in Bulgaria,as our financial status was very bad,I have some important expenses in Bulgaria ,as mortgage and so on,and my husband also have some huge debts in Turkey. That's why I wanted just for a year to work in Bulgaria, while we overcome these financial difficulties. At first he agreed ,but later, when  I have already accepted the job and signed a contract,he started accusing me I have separated him by purpose, which is not true.
Anyway now he wants to divorce. We don't have any children,I have one from a previous marriage and I have the parental rights. The child is not adopted by my husband.
So,one of my questions is:
Do I have right to ask for an alimony and what could be its amount?
I'd appreciate if you answer my question as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance.

TURKISH FAMILY LAW / Domestic Violance
Last post by slossegakably - April 17, 2011, 12:18:17 AM
Just wanted to take a moment to remember and honor the lives of women every where who have faced death and violance in this world simply because they are female, especially remembering thw women of the Montreal Massacre today, on the 29 th anniversary of that horrendeous day.

Violance , basic human Rights violations, gender genocide, female genital mutilaionn, domestic violence, gender discrimination...all still going on, in the name of culture, religion  traditionA very sad sad state of being ...we are family, we only ask for the same human rights and equality that everyone  diserves.

WE as female wish to be allowed to be free persons , protected by the same laws of the land as our Brothers...we just wish to BE...

Until we no longer have to ASK for , OR DEMAND equality...in all aspects of life situations, the tears will continue to be shed...and candles will continue to be lit in memory of our fallen SISTERS.

Picture you newborn daughters facing violence of some sort simply because of her gender, and consider if you would speak up and out for her rights and safety...

WE are all someones DAUGHTERS...

Candle light vigils are being held across Canada today...Please consider attending and sharing the light.

Wishing an inclusive world for my daughter, and daughters EVERYWHERE,

Chtistene

TURKISH BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL LAW / URGENT: Turkish Limited liabil...
Last post by bukshi - January 15, 2011, 12:16:18 PM
Greetings to everyone.

I have a question related to a limited liability company that we have incorporated in Turkey.

Two of the shareholders owning together 160 capital shares would like to obtain the removal of the other shareholder, a turkish citizen owning 40 capital shares, because after the incorporation of the company, the foreign shareholders found out that the turkish shareholder has committed numerous frauds in the past and has several hanging lawsuits filed against him. He has also committed some fraudulent acts against the other shareholders.

We would like to remove that shraholder and have another turkish citizen buy out his capital shares, but the shareholder in question would not agree to sell his shares.

Therefore, I would be very thankfull to any of you who could give me an advice as to the way to proceed in this situation and concerning any alternative solutions to this matter.

I thank you in advice.
